Pick of the (short so far) list beying Duke Nukem 3D. Which i’ll put on my “possible coverage” list. Despite being technically inferior I always thought it was a superior experience to Quake. More fun, more of a sense of character and “real-world” locations.
The rest of the list is only of moderate interest tho. Blake Stone is basically a sci-fi Wolf3d; playing the free shareware version would be enough unless you’re really hardcore. And I don’t recall the Doom-era Rise of the Triad being all that inspiring.
What might be tempting is a compilation of their 2D stuff – Raptor, Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure, Commander Keen. Well ok we can get that last one off Steam, but I know some folks prefer the GoG approach.
I quite liked Blake Stone at the time. But that time was 1995. I suspect I’d be disappointed now.

Now this update excites me. I THOUGHT I had bought Rise of the Triad off Ebay for about the same price – turns out it’s only the first episode, which they actually bothered to give an entire CD release to. Booo.
Just finished Duke3D on Xbox Live, so that’s probably out. I’m all about the rest of them.

Sent you an email last week, Mister Stoo. Just making sure you got it.

There could be legions of FFG fans out there bombarding us with correspondence about our latest updates and awesome reviews and we wouldn’t know about it.
Actually, since we last ignored one of your e-mails I’ve been feverishly checking mine on a daily basis. Just in case there’s anything in there that isn’t asking me to confirm my bank details "for security purposes".

Sorry Jman, i had some technical difficulties with that email and never got around to fixing it. Since I only use that address for site related stuff, and we’ve never had a lot of feedback, it tends to get neglected. Will have a look tomorrow.
